MadMinds Open Mic Live Podcast - Event Instructions

1. Event Overview

This is a live open mic event combined with a podcast-style interview segment.

Artists will be randomly selected to perform via a spinning wheel on stage.

After performing, the artist will be interviewed live on stage by Turkish Royale, Ayoo Chill, and special guest host Dirty Dank Jersey (DDJ).

Prizes & Giveaways include:

A featured performance spot at the MadMinds Showcase at The Underground in Somerville on April 25th

Marijuana prizes for DDJ’s favorite artists

Tons of free goodies for everyone in attendance!

2. Artist Sign-Ups

How to Sign Up

Advance sign-ups are available via the link (posted BELOW)

Must purchase a ticket to sign up.

Every ticket purchase = an extra entry on the wheel, so if you bring friends, fans, or family, they increase your chances of performing.

If you signed up before but didn’t get to perform, you will get an extra entry on the wheel for this event.

Day-Of Sign-Ups

Doors open at 6:30 PM.

Sign-ups close at 7:15 PM sharp – if you’re late, you miss your chance.

If your name is called and you’re not present, you lose your spot.

3. Performance & Interview

Performance Rules

Artists will have up to 5 minutes to perform.

No backing vocals on main verses – instrumentals or hooks only.

Any form of creative expression is welcome (rap, spoken word, freestyle, etc.).

Live Interview

After performing, the artist will immediately be interviewed by the hosts.

There’s no set time limit – the conversation will flow naturally.

This is a chance to promote yourself, share your story, and connect with the audience.

4. Event Schedule

7:30 PM – Show Starts & First Artist Spins
